Micheal Kenna

Micheal Kenna was a minimalist with his photography work and focused on compositions with a long focus. I like his work because he is a minimalist and sometimes the pictures I take are very minimal with the details attached. I have a weird style of photography that I am into because sometimes it can be filled with many things and the photo looks crazy and sometimes I can just focus on one thing and call it a day. 

After exploring Micheal I found this photo he took and I found it very interesting as I have suffered with my own depression and anxiety issues and sometimes you feel alone and this picture spoke to me because I do feel alone sometimes but I do realize I have many friends and family members that are in my corner and support me through anything. He has even one of my favorite photographers I have explored so far in this class.

  Still Life Krista has a very unique style for still-life photography with the colors she uses in the photos to be able to express ideas in the photos. She shoots a lot of foods and has layered aspects in the photos. She has unique ideas in her photos. I inserted a photo below to describe why this still life has attracted me. This photo is unique because of the colors in this still-life photo. It makes me wonder how she didn't have too much flash in the mirrors if she used gels or a purple background. I would like to mimic this weird style because it's an interesting photo to look at. Krista has many more unique photos that fit into this style because she is always about color and what will attract people to like her photos and want more.

Arnold Newman

  Arnold Newman  Arnold Newman's photography style appeals to me because of the lighting and the facial expressions in the photos that have been the most popular with his work. After exploring some of the photos this is the photo that caught my attention because they remind me of my style of photo taking.  I love this photo because I love the way you can interpret this in many different ways. I have an attachment to looking at photos of humans with emotions because I have struggled with different things that have happened in my life so being able to see pictures or even take pictures of human emotions to display what I feel in pictures is a good way for me to deal with many of my battles.  I know this picture was probably not probably not supposed to be interpreted the way I interpreted it but I think it is important to see how every human is different in how they perceive things.  I will be mirroring Arnold Newman's style for this upcoming project.

Sebastian Salgado

  Sebastian Salgado  Sebastian Salgado is a Brazilian photographer who focuses on images that portray humans in desperate economic situations. Sebastians work shows what it is like and have a stronger understanding of social and economic situations in the world.  After exploring his work I found this image I really like. This image is abandoned babies and it is very prevalent in society today because many children are orphan in the world and many that need homes and families to love them. Sebastian bring light to these matters and shows the world what is happening because we need to bring more awareness.
