Hiroshi Sugimoto
Hiroshi Sugimoto Hiroshi Sugimoto is a Japanese photographer who bases a lot of his photos in black and white and empty spaces which can be very appealing to many people as that can be a sign for many things. I do love the empty spaces because you are able to feel an atmosphere which can be sad in most vibes. I have never looked at his photos nor heard about him but I think this goes well with a lot of my views and image inspiration because I focus on depression or a big cause around a lot of my photos so I am able to connect with him as I view his photos. I have inserted a photo of the empty movie theater because I think as I am feeling depression it connects with me because I am inspired by how satisfying this empty space is and how I am connected to it.
Lee Friedlander
Lee Friedlander Lee was a photographer from the '60s and '70s that focused on shadows through light and composition. Lee's photos were unique because they have such different vibes of what life was like in the 60s and 70s and how he gets his shadows just right. I have inserted a picture I like and I'll explain why I like it. This photo is unique because of the city skyline and how the lines are in the photo, it has a unique way of how the light hits the building but how the darkness of the car is still exposed in a unique way that makes this photo visually appealing. Lee Friedlander has really good way of showing light and composition.
