Nikki Lee is a photographer who was born in Korea. She has a series of the "projects" where she goes around and takes pictures with people and their cultures and to bring awareness to what people live and what they go through. I really enjoyed looking at her pictures because it is hard to see sometimes the situations people live in. I really enjoyed searching her up and looking up other projects she has done because of the awareness she is trying to bring to different factors of life. 

She probably enjoys taking these types of photos because of the the way she grew up and wanted to help bring awareness to support other cultural and people who need supported.

  Still Life Krista has a very unique style for still-life photography with the colors she uses in the photos to be able to express ideas in the photos. She shoots a lot of foods and has layered aspects in the photos. She has unique ideas in her photos. I inserted a photo below to describe why this still life has attracted me. This photo is unique because of the colors in this still-life photo. It makes me wonder how she didn't have too much flash in the mirrors if she used gels or a purple background. I would like to mimic this weird style because it's an interesting photo to look at. Krista has many more unique photos that fit into this style because she is always about color and what will attract people to like her photos and want more.

Color and Light

  Nan Goldin Color and Light October 4th      Nan Goldin was a photographer of many different talents and her photos had many different and deep meanings behind them. When we were looking at the slide show in class I really liked the picture of her and that man that did not look very happy at all. Just from knowing many people who have been in horrible relationships, that picture spoke to me. I love knowing why someone wants to take pictures because they are putting awareness out there even sometimes if they don't realize they are.      I like her work because of the aspects of Color and Light she adds into her pictures and of the meaning's behind the colors that she uses in those pictures. Nan Goldin was very impressive with really getting the message across in a lot of photos. I liked the two we looked at in class and I will put them below because of the color in the picture. Anne Lebowitz

  Portrait  I wrote a blog on Annie Lebowitz before in Digital One because I liked her unique style of photography. I think the things she takes pictures of are people are very important and show how powerful people are in those photos.  Anne Lebowitz took photos of Queen Elizabeth and I love that photo because it makes Queen Elizabeth look like the strong powerful lady she was before she passed away. Queen Elizabeth had very many hardships while she was queen so this photo really expresses how powerful and amazing she is. This is the photo that I saw that attracted me to Anne's work. In this photo it is dark and gloomy but the photo shows like I said power. I wrote before that I loved her Rolling Stones pictures because she made the band look amazing and would show the powerfulness of the band. I would like to mimic her style in the future because I get inspired by the creativity she shows in her work. She also has a spooky aspect to her photos but again that is following through
